Assertion 6.7: If evolution was true, then there was no Fall of man, and hence there is no need for Christ.
Analysis:
Assuming the doctrines of sin and redemption are coherent to begin with, anyone who sins has a need for redemption, whether a distant ancestor of theirs has sinned or not. Take the Fall of Adam and Eve not as a historical event, but as an allegory for the tendency (as strong as you want to make it) to fall into sin, and you can retain the need for a savior even while accepting that there was no historical Fall as described in the ancient Hebrew creation myths.
